My team and I were attending the UpSpam Conference that was hosted by the Really Good Email and one of the activities was to improve an existing newsletter for a company. My team participated in this spontaneous competition where we gave a make-over to this Toronto-based Fitness studio's promotion newsletter with the goal of increasing membership sign-ups and fitness classes enrollment. The rule is to pair up with other participants at the site and our creative team matched up with two strategists/copywriters. We gave a refresh to the email by defining the problems, reorganizing the content, adding personalization and including dynamic live content. Our final entry (monetization focus area) won the 1st place in the competition.
